Prince of the City I have not seen.

It was a terrific true crime book and an excellent movie
The NYPD was apparently rotten to the core back in the 70s...very interesting book and movie

I saw it live at the nearby Westchester Dinner Theater recently and couldn't sit through it

I must have smoked 8 cigs in the parking lot and met the theater owner (a very nice fellow) and several other husbands that were thinking of getting in their cars and racing off LOL
