Looking for Obscure 70’s Film.

Looking for this movie, I believe it’s a horror/drama type of film & I believe it’s a 70’s movie but I’m not sure. My memory after all this time is foggy at best so I’m sure I’m getting a lot of the details wrong but I can give you all the basic “drift” of it so to speak.

It had to do with some wealthy people, they were politicians, teachers, doctors, etc, both men & women & they were afraid of dying, they were so narcissistic that they wanted to make sure that they lived on past death that it was an obsession of theirs.

For this purpose they rounded up a bunch of children (not their own I think) & what they did to these kids is they tried to implant their personalities into them so that in fact the kids wouldn’t be themselves but a living reflection of them. They did this by some psychiatric means, I believe, there was nothing supernatural or magical about it. Maybe drugs & scientific experiments were involved I’m not sure.

These people were found out by some couple, the movies hero’s I guess & at to make this short at the end the group of people were picnicking with the kids & they were confronted. One of them had a heart attack or got shot, I’m not sure which & he/she fell off this cliff. Somehow I think they all fell off the cliff don’t ask me how.

The only ones left were the kids & since these kids weren’t even themselves, they had no identity except that of their sponsors who tried to make them, them, that they followed the grownups off of the cliff by simply walking off it after them, & then the movie ended.

For some reason this movie came to my mind the other day & now I’m trying to recall what it was. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks & good luck!

Reminds me of Get Out ;)

You're spending too much time here!

The only one I can find is Doctor Death from 1973. Doesn't mention anything about kids though ...

At least you helped Kate. The other two thought they’d amuse themselves by doing anything but.

Get over yourself. I was just referencing another thread. Obviously I have no clue which movie you mean. All I could do to help you out is Google, which I'm sure you're capable of doing yourself.

Is the phrase “DUH!” In your vocabulary you moron? Of course I tried Google genius but that didn’t yield much of anything. All it would give me was “Thelma & Louise” for crying out loud. That’s how helpful it was.

First you start off by answering my question by according to you referencing another thread of which I don’t know the existence of & then you tell me to “get over myself” because I found you anything but helpful. Then you all so wisely instructed me to use Google which anyone here could’ve already guessed that I did.

BRAVO! You’re Moviechats smartest troll! Try not to keep up the good work.

Good god, you are one giant crybaby.🙄

Besides expanding your vocabulary beyond name-calling, you should try to brush up your reading comprehension skills. I did NOT instruct you to use Google. I said that the only helpful thing I could do is to try and Google it (which is exactly what Kate did). But why should I do that, when you can do that for yourself?

I don't care if YOU got my reference or not. This is a public forum and there's no rule that says I can't respond with anything off-topic.

Grow up, you immature snowflake. With an attitude like that, no one here is going to be willing to help you out.

The kid’s a waste of time, Strat. I’ve encountered him on the Entertainment topics. I won’t interact with him.

GOOD! Keep it that way.
