Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Carrie ???

I remember when I saw that movie I, A: didn't find it scary in the slightest despite that it's called a horror movie, and B: felt so bad for Carrie for how all those people treated her that I didn't feel the least bit sorry for them when they finally pushed her over the edge.

reply

I felt bad for her also.

It's one of my all-time favourite horror films. I don't know if it's scary, but it is extremely powerful and upsetting.

Still, bear in mind that the way the kids treat Carrie at the end of the ill-fated prom is partly in her head. De Palma is great at doing those POV scenes.

The only thing I thought was scary about it was her mother 😱

I also felt sorry for her. You couldn't help but kind of cheer when the bullies got their comeuppance.

Nah. Only if the title had been "Chris and Billy"
