Recently I saw Mood Indigo which became an instant favorite of mine and The science of sleep which I enjoyed but failed to touch me on a higher lever.
I also own: Micmacs that I love, Amelie that I like a lot, La Cité des enfants perdus that I like, T.S. Spivet that is just Okay and Delicatessen that disapoined me slightly.
Now I just realised that I need to order A very long engagement right the fuck now because I never saw it.
En tout cas, bons choix.
Jean-Pierre Melville
Le samourai and le doulos are two of the best films ever.
Early Francois Truffaut.

Peak Resnais, Truffaut, Cocteau, Renoir, Gance, Carné, Demy, Melville, Breillat, Bresson, Clouzot, Malle, Pialat, Assayas, Gondry is pretty god-like tho'. The French are *very* proud of their film tradition and rightly so.
