shareLiving in Oblivion is partially black & white... I think that counts for something. It's also a fantastic indie, a classic.
shareAye, it seems like only yesterday that that I was recommending one of those. Behold:

-The Incident
edit: looking at your original post, it seems i probably misunderstood your request. i posted recent b&w films. most are from the last 10 years or so. they're all good & under-seen imo, so i'l just leave my comments in place.
the colour wheel was one i enjoyed quite a bit, & one that i thought gained from being in b&w. it's a fairly bleak, ugly film, and i certainly wouldn't want to see nothing but movies like this, but i'm glad i saw it.
i haven't watched it recently, but pi is probably still my favourite aronofsky.
guy and madeline on a park bench is damien chazelle's first film, and i think it's a blast. it's very loose story-wise, but it has tons of energy.
frances ha is another favourite.
a field in england is wonderfully weird, like a period film meets 2001 on mushrooms.
a girl walks home at night is one of the best horror films of recent years imo
embrace of the serpent was one of the best films of 2015 imo
i saw frances ha and it lacked a lot, i think the new directors think they'll get a new audience by doing this but the writing could have been done by a 15-yr old
pi was not enjoyable, i felt like i was back in school, ha france
Rumble Fish. Great movie, Matt Dillon and Mickey Rourke.
