Do you blame Santana for things?

You've got to change your evil ways...

reply

Love Santana's music.

reply

I blame them for making a slightly inferior version of She's Not There.

reply

Nobody’s topped The Zombies’ rendition.

reply

Damn. That's a tough one. Like asking if someone likes Jimi Hendrix's or Stevie Ray Vaughn's versions of 'Voodoo Child' or 'Little Wing' better.

reply

Agreed.

reply

I’m solidly with Hendrix, which is not saying anything bad about Stevie.

reply

that was lame

reply

I give both versions a solid 'Hell yes".

reply

The Santana version? It's not that bad. I kinda like the funky sound. The original is just better.

reply

the original is perfection - so British Invasion.

reply

Thanks, now it'll be stuck in my head for a week.😑

reply

better than Christmas songs. 🙂🙂🙂

reply

No, I've been trying to stay away from Christmas songs the last few weeks, so I can have them stuck in my head for the coming week!

reply

I have had my fill for this year. Tuesday can't come quick enough.

reply

I'm ready for all that shit on Monday.

Only 4 to go!

reply

Christmas Eve night is the best day of the year. So quiet and everything is closed. But by Christmas Day night I am glad it's all over.

reply

And then we still have Second Christmas Day!

reply

The 26th is Boxing Day here - I call it binge watching day. We stay in and eat leftovers and watch TV.

reply

We just do the first day all over again, except with the other side of the family.

reply

We see my wife's sister on New Year's Eve. This is the best I can do. 🙂🙂🙂

reply

I can never remember what I do on New Year's Eve!

reply

plenty of coffee on New Year's Day. ☕☕☕☕☕

reply

And Bloody Marys!

reply

Black-eyed peas for tradition, Irish coffee because I feel like it.

reply

Peas for a hangover? How does that work?

reply

Black-eyed Peas & Collard greens is a southern US 'good luck' dish for New-years Day. I hardly ever get hung-over if I don't mix booze. Last time I had a real hangover was early 2001.

reply

Oh, I see! Oliebollen for me!

reply

I could go for a donut. I try to not have more than one or two... Well, maybe another, no.

reply

You'll always have another and regret it later on!

reply

Sky!!!!!!!

Hi!

reply

Hey, Stoney!
I'll take this as a vote for Jimi?
You're NOT getting my beer...

reply

yeah, Jimi

reply

I'm leaning more towards Jimi myself, but as an instrumental, the Stevie Ray version of Little Wing is tough to beat.

It's bold & coy, tough & tender, smooth & tasty, tragic & triumphant, I could go on.
Often, when someone tries to be or make something that's 'all things to all people' they are doomed to disappointment. Not in this case. YMMV.

Oh, Sky the poet, I like, I like.

reply

Santana's guitar skillz is absolutely Santanic!

reply

reply

What? Apart from making bland uninteresting music? No, not really.

reply

where did you go?
