I shied away from dates for the longest time but man dates are good! Now I have lots of dates every week.

My ex-gf used to eat those licorice flavored dates, they're delicious. I haven't had them since we broke up.

Once upon a time, I was too scared to eat them because of what happened to that pet monkey after it indulged in one during one of Indiana Jones's adventures to Egypt in "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Young me did not realize it had been [spoiler]poisoned.[/spoiler]
