The Living and the Dead (2006) - the only film that I’ve had to turn off and finish the next day because I was so freaked out. Mind you, I have fears about being able to take care of my mother in her old age and manrijuanas were involved

Night of the Eagle (1962)
Blind Beast (1969) - as mentioned more of an erotic art thriller, but still a great watch
The Joy of Torture 2 (1976) - for history/gore buffs only
Reflections of Murder (1974 TV movie remake of a famous foreign classic, so best to go in blind)

Swedish TV sci-fi/horror)
The Fan (1982)
The Next of Kin (1982)

Never Take Candy from a Stranger (1960) - a truly disturbing film about paedophelia
