Songs you always associate with a film/show.

We all know music is integral to film and television. Also sound is linked to bringing up memories. So there are those songs that are used in such a way in a scene, that always make me think of the movie/show whenever I listen to them.

The most obvious maybe is Stuck In The Middle With You by Stealers Wheel (Reservoir Dogs). With a scene like that how can I not link it with the movie, I mean...

CeCe Peniston - Finally (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert). I fucking love this movie! I also love the scene it was used in: the costumes, the choreography, the faces! everything about it is just great. Also, Terence Stamp can't dance for shit, and that makes it ever greater in my view.

Stevie Wonder - Superstition (The Thing). Starts funny, turns scary. Also, foreshadowing and such. Only song in The Thing and aptly used.

Sailing - Rod Stewart (Men Behaving Badly). Because that scene is hilarious, and the fact they are rowing makes it even better.

Creedence Clearwater Revival-Bad Moon Rising I tend to associate with that memorable scene in American Werewolf in London where the metamorphosis first occurs.

Oh, yes. Great one! Rob Bottin did some brilliant work on both American Werewolf and The Thing.

The hero had to battle the Shogun of Harlem...i love dumb things...pls excuse me lol
It was really great 80's nonsense...my favorite stuff
And Yonkers is in lower NYS... Crazy place ive been to a time or two
I feel like i know you from IMDB from a couple years ago....but whatever

Tarantino always has a great soundtrack. And I agree, the association with the songs in his movies is strong.

I should probably watch Manhunter! I'm sure it's miles better than Red Dragon. Ditto properly watching Withnail and I.

Battlestar Galactica had a great cover of All Along The Watchtower if I remember correctly.

I loved that movie
I brought a bunch my friends in my '67 Mustang
We thought we were so cool lol

Oh, the scene is Wayne's World is excellent.

Come to think of it, I do also associate Carry On... with Supernatural. The early seasons had some great songs.

I love the Supernatural Montages.
If I remember correctly they have used it several times.
Maybe they still do. I can't remember.

I do still watch. Still good.

I just have this thing that if I start something I finish it no matter what it is.
Sometimes it hurts but I'm the one who started it .

I think on this one more people probably do what you do.

Still good? With the British Men of Letters and bringing back Mary to do nothing with her? I mean, I'll probably catch up at some point, because I have given up on the show before, but it can't keep my interest week to week anymore.

The show has had it's bumps but always seems to pull itself up.

I never watch week to week. I just record it then watch the first half then the second.
That way it only has to keep your interest for a day at most.
