Is this bigger than themoviedb?

Post IMDb I've been over there and wondered where everyone went. Just found this and I like how older posts from imdb are included. I didn't like that I couldn't write my full username "intothenightalone" however.

Post-IMDb, I first went to TheMovieDb, and PreviouslyTV. These were the two I saw most frequently mentioned on IMDb, before it went belly-up.

While PreviouslyTV is fairly active, I didn't like that it was restricted to TV, or that posters aren't allowed to create new threads, onto to post on those that the mods there create.

I didn't like the interface of TheMovieDb, which wasn't a deal-breaker, but the fact that there was zero activity on the majority of the film/show boards there I visited was a deal-breaker for me.

I saw a thread over there about MovieChat, remembered seeing a few posts about it at the end on IMDb, decided to check it out, and I've stayed here ever since.

I like that Jim, the owner, imported so many threads from IMDb, so there's something to read there, and respond to, even on the boards of old films/shows.

I like the Trending section on the home page, so I can easily see which board has the most recent activity.

Last, but certainly not least, I like (most of, LOL) the members here who are, on the whole, intelligent, civil, and sometimes quite witty!

Yup, it is. Welcome, if you're a new person here.

If not...

What's up BB? 😂

reply

I take it BB is a reference to Ben somehow. What's the second B for?

Ball Buster 😁😁😁😁

I'm getting into the street speak now 😁

That's my own term of endearment for him. 😊

I post on both boards... i find Themoviedb to have more "cineaste" crowd in general than this board, but this one tends to be a bit more casual...

both are good and a lot more active than even a month ago...

I recognise your name. I want to support both communities so I'll probably post on both.

The short answer would be yes.
