Can't find a board on a specific movie.

Has anyone encountered this yet? I was looking for The Lodger (1944) but the only one available on moviechat is The Lodger (1927). Coincidentally both have the same premise.

If you want to watch the 1944 version, it's on Youtube with good quality.

The 1927 one is there as well, with equally good quality, but I haven't seen it to tell you if it's worth watching or not.

It's here. Just have to search for the id number at imdb.com.

Thanks. I didn't even think about using the IMDb number.

Good trick. Actually, I do remember Jim mentioning that very early on but forgot the steps, so I appreciate the reminder. I was looking for movies the longer way, by searching through "Similar Movies" or actor pages lol (like playing Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon).

As MEMOREX says, you have to copy & paste the ID part from IMDB and paste it to the end of: "https://moviechat.org/movies/"; This should bring up ANY movie/show that IMDB has and give you the MovieChat version.

If you type in The Lodger 1944 it comes up here. But I just tried typing in The Lodger, and as you've mentioned, only the 1927 version comes up.

It happened to me with Salome (2002). Then I added the year and it came up fine.

But for some reason some titles come up in German for me. I wonder what's up with that.

reply

I just noticed that. The Great Gatsby is titled Der große Gatsby (2013).

reply

That's really weird.... Huh.

reply

I know, right? Can't figure out why some are like this, but most aren't. Not a high priority by any means, and I'm sure eventually Jim will fix it.

IMDB has a translation thing, where a title would be shown in your native language. I thought it might be something to do with that (though I don't speak German). But I guess it's just a glitch in the Matrix :D

reply

It must be related to that, somehow. … I mean, the Matrix!

reply

It all leads back to the Matrix sooner or later.

reply

Everything does.

reply

Yeah, I couldn't find The Wave on here but found it through an actor.
