So, the site was down for roughly 4 hours... Was there a bug to fix or more new updates being worked on? Just curious, because I didn't notice anything new right away. No rush, Jim, just keep taking things one step at a time to make this site great!
Also, really appreciate the updated error page. It's much less stressful and scary than the "Application Error". 😅

shareAWS going down was a bitch for almost everyone, shows ya just how fragile the internet can really be sometimes. Yikes! I was very happy to see it all getting back up to speed again :)
shareYeah over half the web relies on AWS (including Heroku, our host) so it wasn't pretty...
I'm implementing redundancy with another host that doesn't rely on AWS, so even if AWS crashes we won't lose too much uptime.

Thanks again for the updates, Jim! When your site was down yesterday, I initially figured that you were working on some more updates, but never thought of the Amazon issue being the culprit. I heard about that as well. That sounded crazy knowing that a few server issues on Amazon's end brought down so many websites at once!
However, I'm glad to know that we're back up here, as I just can't get enough of your great site! :)

This time the opposite thing happened to me. I wasn't home for 4 hours and when I returned I checked how my favorite site is doing, and noticed that nobody added anything for 4 hours. I wasn't aware it's been down and started to panic, thinking that everyone abandoned this site for some reason lol
