First, let me say I'm overjoyed that a new community seems to be forming here for those of us expelled from the IMDB boards. But I'm just worried, isn't this site at risk of legal action by so obviously mimicking the look and structure of IMDB?

Welcome! I was also a longtime member of IMDb as well before they shut us out and am overjoyed to have found a great new home here as well! In any case, Jim has four years experience as a lawyer, so I'd say that he probably has all of the legal stuff covered.
