Doesn't anyone watch BritComs anymore?

I still enjoy watching Doc Martin and re-watching As Time Goes By. Is there anyone else out there who still does this?

reply

I still watch allo Allo.

reply

Toast of London is great.

reply

The first episode was good. I didn't think any episode after came close to matching it.

reply

BritComs I've loved and can definitely watch again:
Black Books
The IT Crowd
Father Ted
Fawlty Towers

reply

Father Ted is criminally underrated.

reply

I always go back to Peep Show.

reply

I am watching Doc Maarten

reply

Doc Martin has great writing and it's a lot of fun to watch. As much as I enjoyed it, I think they went on a little too long. Well, maybe it's that they didn't advance the story enough in the final two seasons. The actors aged, as we all do, but it was a bit of a stretch that Martin and Louisa's son James was still very young.

reply

But didn't you have a crush on Jessica Ransom?

Ps Glen Ellyn almost borders me

reply

My mother loved both of those as well as Keeping up appearances.

reply

I watched Keeping Up Appearances. Or I should say I tried to watch it, but I couldn't take so much of Hyacinth. Maybe I wasn't it the right mood. I'll probably give it another try someday.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm not your mother. 🤭

I AM A TYPICAL AMERICAN...I STRUGGLE WITH FOREIGN ENTERTAINMENT.

THAT SAID.

I ADORE...

THE OFFICE.

AS TIME GOES BY.

FAWLTY TOWERS.

RED DWARF.

SPACED.

reply

Hey, Big K! I've never heard of Spaced. I'll have to add it to my list.

reply

My favorites:

The Mighty Boosh
Spaced
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

reply

I've never heard of The Mighty Boosh. I may check it out. Unsure about Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, though. We'll see.

reply

The Mighty Boosh and Darkplace won't appeal to everyone. If you like absurdist humor then you should enjoy them.
