She's not a freaking man! She's a woman! Being pretty is a completely utter nonsense reason for a woman to be on the cover of the GQ Men of the Year issue. It would make sense to have Kim Kardashian on the GQ People of the Year issue because she's pretty. But it's not the GQ People of the Year issue. It's the GQ Men of the Year issue.

She's on the cover for men to ogle. If you open the magazine, you can see her sexy poses in sexy outfits. Notice that none of the women they put on the cover are uggos. It's similar to the bikini issue of Sport's Illustrated which sells 10-15x more issues. Objectify women for men's entertainment.
You can write your objection in a letter to the editor, but I bet you'll be in the minority.

Women used to be included as congressmen, firemen, businessmen, policeman, etc. and Each student should show HIS report.... The Semantics thing doesn't bother me especially since in many languages women are still included as part of the male reference ex.
