Refusing to return classified documents which are housed in sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs) upon receiving requests and subpoenas from FBI and Federal courts is a very serious offense for any private citizen regardless of their former or current status. Finally, justice will be served on Trump’s most serious criminal act.
I have a contact at the Department of Energy in the financial office, my old skipper in the Navy, and he said these are not political games and it’s very dangerous that the public is getting this impression from Trump and his acolytes. These are not campaign tactics, because nobody is afraid of Trump 2024 campaign. He will not be nominated again.
When the FBI conducted the raid at Mar-o-Lago (or whatever the fuck it’s called) it was of such a serious nature that it whipped other political figures into action to demonstrate the appropriate response to finding unsecured classified documentation. If I recall correctly, both Mike Pence and President Joe Biden immediately scoured their properties and returned possible sensitive documents without request. In a political climate, I’m sure they didn’t want to get themselves in the middle of this story, but it was necessary as Trump is a cult leader and pied piper of criminality.
This was Joe Biden saying, “hey, if I left the West Wing in a hurry for my private residence in Delaware with SCIF documents in my briefcase which was then left unattended in my Corvette or garage, then I was in the *wrong* and I better take immediate action.”
When the story broke, I recall Trump supporters complaining about a double-standard and witch-hunt, but, you see, the response from a criminal and a non-criminal who made a mistake and then rectified it was played out before us in real-time, and it was 180% opposite in circumstances.
Trump had boxes and boxes of SCIF documents stored in his shed, knew it, lied about it, and will now face the music. He stole them and held the security of our nation hostage until he forced a raid. He acted as a treasonous thief in the eyes of any patriotic American, especially anyone who served in the Armed Forces and has experience with sensitive intelligence.
It was NOT a raid. It was a legal search warrant that the DOJ carried out. NOT A RAID. That is Trump rhetoric which of course, as we know, is a bunch of lies.

I feel the term “raid” carries a hefty connotation and use it simply because there was so much stolen that Trump basically set up his own unsecured SCIF of documents for the FBI to seize and turn back over to it’s rightful owner—the American people and their institutions.
They obviously acted above board first, with requests and subpoenas ignored and finally judge-approved warrant being issued and acted upon.

However, he does not have the power to do this, and any of them would never be eligible for declassification in the first place due to the nature of the information.
