Idaho bans abortion exception used for saving women's lives.

Idaho banning aborrion wasn't much of a surprise and to be expected, but it seems like they are being even more crazy...

From what is commented in the article, it seems like they want to justify killing the mother off to protect a new life by blaming her for putting herself at risk. Absolutely disgusting. I can't say I know this for a fact, but this smells like the Idaho Government REALLY wants to control women's rights just like the early 1900s, rather than making exceptions.

It's democracy in action. Each state can decide on its own. Is it not obvious that the liberal belief in abortion was not shared by many in the US?

Again, this has NOTHING to do with "controlling women". It's stopping the taking of human life. Period.

reply

So it's right to let the mother die in exchange for saving the baby? It's quite hypocritical if they want to prevent murder if you ask me. It's like saying that a younger person is more valuable than an older one.

reply

Dear lord, again with the 'super rare it almost never happens' scenario to drive an agenda?

reply

Abortion should cost the woman's life, it's the fairest way.

reply

What if there is no father in the picture? No family at all?

reply

A life for a life?

Or perhaps better phrased 'an irresponsible life for a life'.

reply

How is a woman dying from unhealthy pregnancy fair? Is it because she deserves to die because she is a child murderer? Abortion isn't something I have a firm opinion, but by banning this exception they are taking away a woman's right to reproduce again by letting her die.

reply

But they don't want to reproduce at all, hence the abortion hysteria.

Plus it would result in less overall irresponsible women as well.

reply

I would have to see what is left out of the story. In most I have read if you wait around for more than 4 months you can't make up some excuse. It makes women quit dragging their feet and only costing taxpayers more when they finally decide.

reply

I just see this exception ban as blaming the woman for putting herself at risk. Especially if a psychopath rapes her and gets her pregnant.
