What's the point of these posts, assuming you are serious/aren't deliberately trolling?

I always find these political attack posts to be petty -- like, "Ha! Alt-reich being exposed!" or "Snowflake libtards" or etc. What does this seek to gain? A mindless fight? Troll bait only (excuse this if so)? A serious political discussion/solution?

What is the point? If you are trolling then I'm off-base/wasting my time, but if you do this seriously, it doesn't really give your "side" anymore brownie points when you have to just childishly attack the other one somehow to prove competence or superiority over nothing.

This is coming from someone neither left nor right necessarily, but who follows what they think would make the most sense/right politically for people. So if you aren't just trolling and plan to instigate a topic by damning the left based on the stock market, then what is this proving really? Doesn't seem to make you sound any better when spouting/initiating near baseless hits on any "side" of your choosing.

Because there are many on this board who openly root against Trump and America's success. They want this country to fail. Trump isn't making American great again, he's Making America better than ever!

Doesn't the DOW index fluctuate anyways? Trump alone isn't to be credited entirely for that, I don't think.

Plus I don't see how using a stock market index on just 30 major companies is giving a full picture of how great America is. You'll probably need more than just the performance/market statistics to evaluate the entire state of a country and its prospects. Whether or not major companies are doing good isn't necessarily saying too much about the country entirely and all aspects of it, however imagined. This doesn't appear sound enough to determine how good the U.S. is by itself in my view.

As for the other people/left rooting against Trump, sadly they appear to be doing the same thing in reverse: just bashing the "evil right" as the so-called right just tosses some back at the "evil left." Where do we get with this? Nowhere it seems....

Yup. Thats exactly right. The economy is on autopilot thanks to Obama which is the real foundation for Trump's tax cuts. It wouldn't be feasible if we were still in a recession. I'll give Trump the benefit of the doubt that his tax cuts for the rich helped Wall Street in the short term which generally influences the stock market in the short term. But the fact is companies are engaging in stock buybacks at an obscene rate we've never seen before. This is the real uptick in the market. But its stock manipulation. What goes around comes around. Its knocking on the doors of another financial collapse.

Repubs aren't talking about it though. They just keep saying "Trump's economy is great woohoo!" But what happens when the financial crisis looms closer? Then repubs begin playing the game of "oh I knew it was going to happen. I was the lone voice of the party!" blah blah blah. Same shit over and over again because everybody is too busy laughing at the left to listen to them.

Utter BULLSHIT!

https://www.cnsnews.com/commentary/daniel-mitchell/trumps-economy-vs-obamas-economy

During his final days in office, I gave a thumbs-down assessment of Barack Obama’s presidency. Simply stated, he increased the burden of government during his tenure, and that led to anemic economic numbers.

Now the economy seems to be doing a bit better, which is leading my friends on the left to make two impossible-to-reconcile claims:

It is doing better, but Obama deserves credit.
The economy isn’t doing better.
I’ve previously explained that the first argument doesn’t hold water. Today, let’s address the second argument.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, former CEO Andy Puzder claims that Trump easily wins over Obama when you look at the numbers:

“For eight years under President Obama, the growing burden of government suppressed the economic recovery that should have followed the recession of 2008-09. Mr. Obama nonetheless has claimed responsibility for today’s boom, asking Americans in September to ‘remember when this recovery started.’ Yet it wasn’t until President Trump took office that the economy surged. … The result is a rising tide that is lifting boats across every class and region of the country. … Today unemployment rests at 3.7%, near a 50-year low. Since the government began reporting the data, unemployment has never been as low as it is today for African-Americans, Latinos, Asians and people with only a high-school education.”

This is very true - Obama handed him a strong economy, and now he's taking credit for it. Imagine if he went into Office after Bush/Cheney, and inherited the worst economic meltdown since Noah's Ark - like Obama did? He would have sold our country to Russia by now.

After they told everyone the economy would crash for the last 3 years, ABCNNBBCBS demokkkrats and their lemmings are trying to take credit for the thunderous Trump boom.

October 2016 - During a PBS town hall that aired Wednesday, Obama referenced Trump's promise to bring back jobs to the United States when talking about manufacturing.

"Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What exactly are you going to do? There's no answer to it," Obama said.

"He just says, 'Well, I'm going to negotiate a better deal.' Well, what, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn't have an answer."
