Not quite. People weren't as sexually repressed in 1980 as they are these days. Do you not like the anthology idea they tried with III? Good point. Yup. Oh, my fault. Good response. Remember, though, the close-minded actually think THEY are the free thinkers, so they would never equate Trump voters with free thinkers (remember, they act like they're in a cult, and accuse Trump voters of being in a cult; they claim they are anti-fascist while being complete fascists, and they claim they are anti-racist when they are the biggest racists on the planet). American women were a lot less uptight in the 1970s. It is a scary movie. Some very weird things happen in it and just about everything about Bob is terrifying. Two VERY different movies. I'm sure that's EXACTLY what he was doing. On a college campus, you'd be expelled for even asking this question, using the word in the context of a discussion about the word. That's where we're at. That's how stupid our college kids, professors, and administrators are. Yes. Hell or High Water was good. "the climax is on Mount Rushmore" is probably the most sexually-loaded sentence ever written on moviechat or imdb. I'll have to find McFarland and watch it. I wouldn't say I'm a flag-waving patriot, but I miss Hollywood movies that ATTEMPT to speak to so-called flyover country. Yeah, take a moment and think about whether or not you're preaching to the choir. Artists were allowed to do what they wanted in 1999. That's why we also got modern classics like Fight Club, Bringing Out the Dead, and American Beauty. Why not? Interesting. The weirdness makes it great!
