I think that theory makes a lot of sense. This crew was 'expendable' per the Special Order, so WY personnel figured it was no big loss if they crew died while collecting the specimen. But - I doubt WY realized how dangerous the Xenomorph actually was. If Nostromo had returned with a live specimen aboard, it would have been difficult to actually use it for biological warfare. 6-1/2 hours is usually enough. I get up early, and just started to notice the sun is rising a few minutes later than at the beginning of the month. The article mentions Frances Fisher in Titanic (Rose's mother) as using this accent. That's the first person I thought of. I sometimes miss the smaller stores too. I grew up in a small town (population 1,500) that had quite a variety of stores. There was a locally owned shoe store, pet store, bar & liquor store, barber shop, pizzeria, small convenience store/deli, newspaper store (they sold papers, magazines, candy, cigarettes and little else), a luncheonette, auto repair shop. They are all gone now. A tattoo parlor and dollar store are the only businesses in operation. I guess people prefer the bigger stores, which are a 10-15 miles away. At one time upper-middle-class families didn't discuss any of their problems in public. Everything was swept under the rug. Pregnant daughters, drop-out sons, and drunk relatives were only discussed in hushed tones behind closed doors. 'Family' provided at peek at an upper class family that had to deal with issues that affected everyone else. In Season 10 Episodes 2 & 3 Rachel and Joey are starting to date and 'go to the next level' but they both feel awkward because Ross still has feelings for Rachel. Even after Ross gives his blessings to the relationship, it's too forced. Rachel reacts badly to being touched and Joey is nervous. William Shakespeare - at least it's believed he did. April 23, 1564 - April 23, 1616. I often wonder what is going on in the minds of someone like Seymour. Even his bed was crawling with cockroaches. How could someone lie down in complete filth to sleep? Moist Titanic 1. Poseidon Adventure 2. The Towering Inferno 3. Airport 4. Earthquake I remember seeing Earthquake in the theater when it came out. At the time a lot of people were saying a big earthquake really was going to hit California 'real soon'. And it would break off and fall into the Pacific Ocean. Still waiting... Tom Ripley reminds me a bit of Andrew Cunanan. When Cunanan couldn't get the life he thought he deserved, he went on a murder spree - killing those who had what he coveted. Ripley wasn't as extreme as Cunanan, but had some of the same psychopathic traits. People are still hoarding certain items. Went to Target this morning and they had a sign by the entrance saying which items where out of stock: TP, paper towels, hand sanitizer, Sanitizing wipes, dishwasher detergent, etc... Bandanas are also sold out now. Everyone wants a face covering and there are no masks to be found. An ambiguous ending would have been more enjoyable. The professor wakes up and isn't sure if he was dreaming. And when he walks out onto the street to see the picture in the window again, a woman who closely resembles Alice walks by, but does not acknowledge Richard. I thought the finale was 'OK' but didn't expect so much focus on Penelope at the end. I didn't quite understand if Prentiss was finished as Unit Chief, although it's clear her promotion was off the table. The fate of several characters was not really spelled out. The episode was called "Freeze Framed''. The woman, Stacey Castor, died in prison in 2016 of natural causes. The plot was too rushed for me. The story lines are barely developed and something dramatic happens. Then it's on to the next dramatic event, which is resolved in about 7 minutes. I thought 'Duel' was a lot more frightening. I liked the psychological tension when Dennis Weaver stopped at the café and all the truckers were give him a cold stare. Joyride's scary parts aren't quite as realistic. An unforced easiness is a good way to explain Maggie and Rock. She completely understood Rock's military ways the way Rock's ex-wife probably never tried (or wanted) to understand. The only thing a bit depressing is if you know it didn't end well for a particular actor or actress. No need to name any examples - there are so many. I wonder how much an apartment that size in San Francisco would cost today? I'm guessing about $3,000/month.
