This number puts James Wan‘s DC Comics epic in good company in terms of Christmas day hauls, behind only Avatar ($23 million), Sherlock Holmes ($24.6 million), and three straight Star Wars movies: Rogue One ($25.8 million), The Last Jedi ($27.4 million), and The Force Awakens ($49 million).

impressive, it has exceeded it's production budget by box office-wise bevor even opening domestic. Most impressive. A movie as smart as roller coaster ride but a lot more fun.
First time I saw this guy doing something like "acting" on screen. He was actually good in this. Amber Heard too. What a blast of a movie.

Speed Racer was trash like Man Child Universe movies, but without raccoon turds. Aqua is a fun action-adventure with breathtaking world building.

Still, the octupus playing drums would equal the ant playing drums in Antman2 (which is not so much kiddy but weird).
Anyway, these scenes will never reach the infantile lowpoints like the infamous penis, turds and nipples dialogue a la "hahahaha I have famously huge turds", " I have sensitive nipples", "I shoot the ball-sack of a chin right out of your face" or "lets play hide the zucchini" etc.

he retired and is happy he did it (apart from some "white slaver" slips). He deserves it. What they need is someone like Lucas, with vision, ambition and ideas.
And they need the will to give them TIME for the creative development process: not conveyer belt formula ware a la Marvel but truly original and creative films worthy of teh Star Wars name.

I think Logan is the movie that did that already. MCU was unimpressed as it's only about only getting manchildren money out of the lowest common denominator audience.
I don't care about how much box office it makes, I just care on whether this is a good movie.
Many great movies were complete flops (from Kane, Shawshank, Dredd to Blade Runners) whereas some of the greatest money makers are raccoon turds for manchildren, such as Force Awakens, Avatar, Infinity Bore or Transformers.
