I'd rate Back to the Future higher than Batman. But the they are all 80s classics. Hope he invested well. Yeah, I think their appeal to women had something to do with being stars in the first place. If women didn't find them attractive, they would have been character actors. Over 40 years after he raped a 13 year old girl, others in the entertainment business aren't going to overlook it? I guess in the "me too" era, even Polanski isn't immune. Absolutely love the Irish accent myself. I find it almost musical. Not a big fan of either. Pyromania had some good stuff on it, I guess. And Bon Jovi has a couple of kind of anthemic tunes. Thing I'll go with Def Leppard. Critics, not reviewers? Critic yes, reviewers no? You are a fucking wackadoodle. Or a troll. When people talk about professional critics, they are typically talking about the sort who get their reviews in publications like magazines, newspapers, major websites. That's who I was referring when I wrote "the critics", and they have given her plenty of acclaim. And people will often use the word reviewer to refer to them as well. This distinction you're making between reviewer and critic 1. has nothing to do with my response. I wrote critic, which is the commonly accepted word to use when referring to that group of people. 2. is not something that you'll find in a dictionary. It's your opinion, not part of the broadly accepted definitions of the two words. This is the second time you've responded to something I posted in this kind of way. The word reviewer never appeared in my post, so it makes absolutely no sense to insult me for not knowing what you think the difference between a critic and a reviewer is. When people refer to "the critics" the way I did, it's generally understood who it is they mean. I don't give a damn what your personal criteria is for who should be considered a critic, who is "scholarly and disinterested" enough, you stupid, nasty fuck. I was using the word in the commonly understood sense. That group of people have given Ronan generally positive reviewers for many of her films. And I will happily put you on ignore at this point. Not sure about that. Tom Cruise and Davy Jones were pretty popular with the ladies, for example. Might have had the best Bond girls. When people say literally when they mean figuratively, does it make you want to see them dragged under a bus for ten miles? What a weird rule that you can just bring someone from the stands like that. Weird but awesome. Funny how the Guardian didn't think the case was newsworthy when audio of Heard admitting to physically abusing Depp leaked, as well as shaming the guy and gloating over the fact that he wouldn't be believed because he's a man. They jumped all over this story, though. Same thing with most of the mainstream media. I'm starting to expect they might be pushing certain agendas. Message board tip: If you're not interested in a topic, don't click on it. Yeah, I think you're the one existing in an echo chamber. Either that or you're trolling. It's the only way to explain your claim that only "Depp supporters" who have "convinced each other" agree with me after the audio of Amber admitting to physically abusing Depp and mockingly telling him that no one will believe him is absurd. This was ignored by the mainstream media but it was all over social media and sites like YouTube. As is your claim that Depp's firing from Pirates had nothing to do with Heard's abuse accusations. Everything I wrote is accurate. King's pretty outspoken about politics, but his books have never struck me as being terribly preachy in that respect. Especially his early stuff. Once in a while you might come across a comment or a character that gives away his politics, but I don't think he's out to send a political message with most of his work. It's just that the SJW King readers (I hesitate to call them fans) are very vocal. It's the same less than 10 percent that are responsible for like 90 percent of Twitter content. I think most of his readers don't have a problem with, say, a story set in a small town in rural Maine features white people as the primary characters. The woke crowd can get pretty aggressive and competitive with each other. Given that, its not surprising that they'll scream "racist" because of things like a character using the N word, regardless of the context. By putting down a writer like King who tries to be pretty woke himself, they let the world know that they are so woke that King seems racist to them. The torture murder of baseball boy happens pretty much exactly the same way in the book, IIRC. And I also recall Rose being quite powerful in the book as well. How dare you? Skee Lo. Story of my life.
