How about 'Mom and Dad' with Nicolas Cage??? You think you can actually top that one?? I watched a few Miss Fisher episodes, then quit after she kept humping all the weird guys..... Love the Brit Series.. .watched Marcella a couple of weeks ago! NOT a rollicking comedy!!!! Watched Hinterland, etc. Will not watch Sherlock Holmes. No doubt that most old westerns were hokey, but that gave them a certain appeal at the time. A LOT of movies that I really enjoyed watching when they came out now seem rather silly..... Whether Leone's films are classics or not, is not my point here. They featured non-heroes which never could have existed in 'old' westerns. These newer films were in a class of there own which started the ultra violent western genre including The Wild Bunch. Ride The High Country and The Ox-Bow Incident are excellent examples of great westerns of the pre-Leone era. I personally don't care for Kirk Douglas. Other favorites of mine are Shane, Monte Walsh and Will Penny. Have Gun Will Travel was the first TV program I ever saw....in a store with a large antenna that pulled in a snowy picture from 200 miles away...way back in the dark ages. I suppose the MAIN difference between the two is their title....Wars vs Trek! Star Wars is a never ending display of fighting and even the dead of many of their characters, while Star Trek travels outer space in search of new worlds. Of course, Stars Wars takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far away, while Star Trek refers to earth as their home base. One of the funniest scenes in Twins was when Arnold first told Danny they were twins and Danny said," Yeah, when I first saw you I thought I was looking in a Mirror." And Arnold Swartzenegger and Danny DeVito......remember Twins? View all replies >
