Favorite Series

Which is your favorite...Star Trek or Star Wars ? And why......

I like both but prefer Star Wars mainly because of the Jedi/Force mythos and because I'm excluding Episode 7 and 8 from my calculus.

Star Trek is great too, but it's gotten a bit watered down with the sheer number of films and tv episodes. They also resort to technobabble on a regular basis to create or resolve plot lines, (something that Star Wars Episode 8 also did in an absurd fashion).

I suppose the MAIN difference between the two is their title....Wars vs Trek! Star Wars is a never ending display of fighting and even the dead of many of their characters, while Star Trek travels outer space in search of new worlds. Of course, Stars Wars takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far away, while Star Trek refers to earth as their home base.

Did you saw the animated series of SW? They're very entertaining,even disney inspired from them,check out the force awakens.

This is very hard, but if I'm forced to pick, Star Wars. The unspecial original trilogy is a great at any time of day, in any mood, and any point in life. One benefit of Star Trek is that there's so much of it, many different series, many movies and a lot of it is quality and complex, with good social commentary. To everything there is a season.
