I don't think bob is behind this. The film industry protected Harvey from public scrutiny because they needed him. The journalism industry obviously doesn't give a crap, their job is to report the news, ie dig dirt. So the new york times has been after him for a while, nobody had the guts to come forward, Harvey has had some financial problems, so they threw him under the bus. It is a Dominos effect.

1.Most actors are shoved into the public. You not just need a producers backing you need a whole industry.
A couple of years ago they were trying to make ryan gossling happen and he was in everything.
