Yep. You have the wonderful and magnetic Lothaire Bluteau in your cast and yet you hire Billy Zane as the love interest.
The sniper standoffs were well handled and it was an undeniably well-mounted production, but I thought the script and performances were largely second rate. 4/10
I would pay good money to see this happen.
I always thought she was exceptional in her confrontation scene with Brody... R.I.P.
Rashomon is a good one - it's relatively short for a start.
I'd then suggest High and Low, my personal favourite. Or Seven Samurai, or Ikiru, or Red Beard or Throne of Blood, all of which are brilliant. Or the underrated Dodes'ka-den or Dersul Uzala... you have a lot to look forward to!

Well it's a little premature to judge him if you have only seen his small role in Lady Bird. He has given highly acclaimed performances in several films and stage productions in recent years.
Whether he can carry a big budget Hollywood movie is yet to be seen... I guess there's a lot riding on Dune.
Well, Guadagnino is still talking about the sequel, and this sounds positive. Obviously, if they plan to film in Italy, there may still be quite a wait for this.

Insignificance
I must admit, I have yet to see a Gary Busey movie which I have found outstanding - but this one was at least interesting, with four excellent central performances.
Like most Robert Altman films it's not for everyone but I really enjoyed it... great cast, and CSD is the best of all... definitely recommended for a fan.
Fine actor. He should have been Oscar nominated for Cookie's Fortune - such a great performance.

Yep, it’s going to be a long month, but at least there won’t be much opportunity to spend money! I’m in Singapore. The announcement finally came last night that non-essential businesses are closing for a month from next Tuesday:

I'm on a month's compulsory unpaid leave as of this week. The country as a whole is not on lockdown, schools and malls still open etc, but the PM is making an announcement this evening and word is that it's coming.

Milland was brilliant in The Lost Weekend, a harrowing and unforgettable portrayal. I have to admit, none of the other films I have seen him in come close to that one.
I found him so unbearably obnoxious and unfunny in Parks & Rec that I stopped watching the show a few episodes after he first appeared... I guess I should try again?
