I thought the first ten minutes were horrible, but I really enjoyed the rest. It had a sort of nice, nostalgic feel to it, somehow. And it was very light hearted, which I think I was in the mood for at the time. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, especially about the moon. But conspiracies do happen, and I thought it was pretty obvious we don't know what happened with the JFK assassination. There was some clearly shady shit going on. An incredibly effective horror movie and some of the best effects ever. Even if the rest of the movie sucked, it would STILL be a classic for the special effects alone. She definitely had no compassion for her own mother, which is pretty heartless. A lot of movies get lumped in with film noir... if you were really strict about what makes a film noir, there probably wouldn't be that many. We watched this in Film Noir class, actually. It was my favorite movie we watched. This question was posed 13 years ago, but I'm going to reply anyway. Presence is by far my favorite segment, and possibly my favorite ten minutes of anime ever. I hate what has become of the Alien mythology, and the direction it's gone in. Therefore, I could never totally enjoy anything connected to Prometheus or Covenant. But if I ignored that, I thought Covenant was much better. Prometheus I hated all the characters except Fassbender, and they all did and said stupid things. Covenant was a little less stupid. But still not good. I've only seen maybe 40 or 50 episodes, but A Game of Pool is one of my favorites, and one that stands out for me. Far from being dead, horror is one of the only genres that make money anymore. I mean I believe he had literally a below average IQ, if I remember correctly. And any crazy person that babbles on and on all day will eventually say things that sound insightful. Yep, she's probably the worst of the new pop stars. Her songs are unlistenable. I guess people think she's attractive, but I don't see it. She's very bad. There are pop stars out there with real talent, such as Beyonce and Adele. Swift doesn't even have a fraction of that talent. I haven't seen Scream since it came out, but I remember not liking it much. New Nightmare, I've always loved. I watched it just last year. Thank you! Exactly right. You're tone sucks. Sounds like you just want to bicker so I'm only going to say one last thing. Yes, if there was a bunch of media attention, obviously there would be even more media attention if he was found. I might have missed something, but I didn't think there was a media sensation surrounding his disappearance. Still, it wouldn't be a police matter if a guy turned up and he was fine. Yeah that scene was mostly played for laughs. But everything I said still stands. If he has a picture of him, just hanging out at a party, great! Then the case is closed. There's nothing to follow up on. Like I said, it's not illegal to be missing. What could the police possibly do? I say this because missing people is a very interesting thing to me, and I read and listen to a lot of stuff about it. So I'm just basing this on real stories that have actually happened. I loved the ending, because I actually expected him to get arrested and blamed for everything. Plus, it was a happy-ish ending which is sometimes nice after torture and horror. Here's the deal. In real life, it can be extremely difficult to get police interested in a missing adult male. Especially a black or gay male. That's the sad reality. The fact is, it's not illegal to be missing, and a lot of the time cops don't have enough compelling reason to spend the money it takes to search for someone, or even follow up leads. And sometimes it's just plain bias or laziness. The first few minutes are extremely similar to Orson Welle's film of The Trial. Exactly, he wasn't a smart guy. I'm pretty sure he had a low IQ and was a petty thug. Exactly, I'm pretty sure she smoked weed. That episode made it pretty clear.
