I thought the first ten minutes were horrible, but I really enjoyed the rest. It had a sort of nice, nostalgic feel to it, somehow. And it was very light hearted, which I think I was in the mood for at the time. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, especially about the moon. But conspiracies do happen, and I thought it was pretty obvious we don't know what happened with the JFK assassination. There was some clearly shady shit going on. An incredibly effective horror movie and some of the best effects ever. Even if the rest of the movie sucked, it would STILL be a classic for the special effects alone. She definitely had no compassion for her own mother, which is pretty heartless. A lot of movies get lumped in with film noir... if you were really strict about what makes a film noir, there probably wouldn't be that many. We watched this in Film Noir class, actually. It was my favorite movie we watched. This question was posed 13 years ago, but I'm going to reply anyway. Presence is by far my favorite segment, and possibly my favorite ten minutes of anime ever. I hate what has become of the Alien mythology, and the direction it's gone in. Therefore, I could never totally enjoy anything connected to Prometheus or Covenant. But if I ignored that, I thought Covenant was much better. Prometheus I hated all the characters except Fassbender, and they all did and said stupid things. Covenant was a little less stupid. But still not good. I've only seen maybe 40 or 50 episodes, but A Game of Pool is one of my favorites, and one that stands out for me. Far from being dead, horror is one of the only genres that make money anymore. I mean I believe he had literally a below average IQ, if I remember correctly. And any crazy person that babbles on and on all day will eventually say things that sound insightful. View all replies >
