just watched it for the first time

A lot of movies get lumped in with film noir... if you were really strict about what makes a film noir, there probably wouldn't be that many. We watched this in Film Noir class, actually. It was my favorite movie we watched.

It's a film noir crime drama. I actually thought the first flashback was too drawn out, could've been shorter.
