The hospital is probably not the best place to try and find a date. Yes, the premise of the film I initially struggled with as well. There is no plausible reason explained or given why he was sent alone. Why would you send one person alone to the far reaches of the solar system to investigate a space cloud made up of particles that you have no idea what they are. They said in the film, they couldn't identify what the cloud/particles were, so for something truly unique, you just send one guy to check it out? Made no sense. He's just an AI bot now. People post any general thoughts in here. What I don't understand is why people post in general discussion about a specific film or show instead of going to that board. I try to make a post or respond on the movie/tv boards every time I finish watching something. I also think there are some people on here who rarely even watch film/tv so they just post in general discussion. No thanks I get walking out if you don't like it, but I always find it fascinating that people are able to fall asleep in the theater. It's so damn loud, I could never do it unless I was up for 24 hours straight or something like that. She was smoking hot in this film. Did you say the same thing about BvS? No, just admit you're in it for well we know..... I kind of got a little sense that Martin may be gay, but it was hard to tell as well because Martin and Celia both seemed to hate each other. The only time that Celia was kind to Martin was on their date which he seemed to enjoy, though he is quick to ask for the picture after the concert. It's clear that Celia was obsessed with Martin and I doubt she truly loved him and only loved him as a desirable object which would only last until she got what she wanted. It seems Martin is just not interested in HER, but it's not clear if he is not attracted to other woman. He almost has sex with her because, well he has never been intimate or at least we presume he has not, but I don't think he rejects her because he is gay, I think he rejects her because he dislikes her in particular, not because she is a woman. He also has a distrust for woman because of his mother, who we find out, did not lie to him as he always thought. As to why he takes to Andy as a friend so quickly, it might be because he is a man, but it's unclear at least to me, if he had romantic feelings for Andy. I think he was upset about Andy sleeping with Celia because of his utter dislike of Celia which Andy knew about and then betrayed his trust by sleeping with her. No. I only liked the first one. Definitely will not be checking this out. What about you? I agree with your take. Very well acted and the shots are fantastic, but the plot is all over the place and then the tone at the end changes entirely. As you said, it's like it becomes an entirely different movie. Seemed like the comical extreme violence and gore (which you still could have had without the comedy) were there just so we could call it a Tarantino film. My favorite scenes were Leo on set with the girl and him in the trailer freaking out. Disappointed with this one, but I would still say it's worth seeing at least once. It's still up in my dentist's and doctor's office - ridiculous. Yes, that is quite true as well. Portion size at restaurants are large which I am fine with, hey you're going out to eat and paying quite a bit, no problem with it filling you up and it should taste great. But, portion sizes at home or your packed lunch at work, where you should do the vast majority of your eating, should be much smaller. Don't need to eat until your overly stuffed every time. It's not just sugar, but modified wheat that our bodies cannot process. The wheat that was ate even a hundred years ago is vastly different than it is today. Two pieces of white or whole wheat bread cause a higher insulin spike (fat storing hormone) than ice cream, yet the US pyramid of health says that 40% of what you should eat should be grains. That 40% should be non-starchy vegetables. Haha good point! Ultimately it comes down to better education and for doctors and the health industry along with major food corporations to stop producing and promoting bad foods and habits. We've known for a long time that sugars, sweeteners, and complex carbs are bad for you. However, the health industry says just eat wheat based products instead of flour, nonfat products (which is another marketing deception by the industry - pointing all the blame on fat when we should be reducing carbs and processed food), and just look for those foods that say zero sugar which are full of, just as bad, sweeteners. These are all things you have to dig to find when it should be taught in schools. Obesity in the US is a major problem. The produce section of the grocery store is probably at most a 1/4 of the store yet look at the aisles and aisles of wheat/flour and sugar filled products. So personal responsibility, but also better education and correct healthy promotion is the solution. Once people stop buying these, essentially poison filled products, the food companies will fall in line, but they have such a stranglehold on the marketing and are in bed with the health industry it's very hard to overcome. Doesn't sound silly at all. I feel this way every time I have to go to the post office. It's a great answer! Couldn't agree more. Good luck on your journey. Rocky (1976) is a big one for me too. Especially the scene you have marked in round 14. Rocky gets decked scrambling to get up, music blaring, cut to Adrian, Micky telling him to stay down, and he gets up asking for more while Apollo shakes his head - extremely emotional and great scene. I don't know about most, but during Life of Pi (2012) when that damn tiger doesn't look back and say goodbye with the voiceover talking about his father and saying goodbye to loved ones/letting go in life and the music flowing I found it to be extremely moving and emotional. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-w7ZmY9w9Y
