I read that the 'nurse' died during their disability fraud investigation. I believe she had a heart attack. I'm watching this show now. The episode 'Heartland Homicide' about James Mayberry. Yeah, the narrator's voice doesn't sound appropriate for what he is talking about. One of the things that was sad is that James, being an older African-American homosexual, he mostly hung out with cons and gave them money, which eventually got him murdered. I wonder if it wasn't because younger gay men wanted nothing to do with an older gay person and the cons were the only ones who befriended him. I think I'd rather be alone. I remember when this crazy person was always on the old IMDb boards saying how all of the celebrities had a double and it was their double that would make public appearances and star in movies while the real person was off somewhere living in peace. I wondered about that too because I was watching the very first episode today and they were talking about her going into rehab and Bernie was speaking to her over the phone, but she was never shown. I remember that. Too bad this show didn't last. When Jackie snapped back at those children, "Do I look like Uhura to you kids?" and they all shook their heads yes. Wikipedia said he died in 2014. I wonder whatever became of the supposed spin off with Mindy Cohn living in an apartment in Soho? This episode was on this morning on MeTV. David Spade was in it playing a med student Back in the day I had her signature perfume. R.I.P. Yes, the Christmas tree scene was hilarious all because she didn't get dim cha cha heels her parents had to pay. It was news to me too. Remember the Tina Turner song 'Nutbush City Limits' and she sings about 'salt pork.' Did you notice that the house they used in 'Eunice'all through the years - about 25 years - the house never changed. Same roof, same paint color, etc.LOL. It started in 1955 and ended in 1978 when Mama dies. All that changed was a different year and model car drove by each time. I agree with you. I saw both movies and 'The Official Story' is slow paced. When I was watching it on DVD I fast forwarded through some of it. I kept thinking, 'How long is this movie?" Thank you for that because I read two different accounts. One, like you said, he was drunk and told these guys about his 'hobby,' then I read he actually showed up in the bar wearing women's high heels and pantyhose, getting drunk, and making sexual advances towards these men. I found that a little hard to believe, but I've known non-passable transsexuals that go wherever they wish and not think twice about it or people's reaction to them. I saw bits and pieces of this documentary and I too noticed he was smoking a cigarette in every scene. It made me wonder how he could afford it living on disability benefits, but I guess people find a way. I've noticed that too with a lot of them. Two years later when Christina Phillips had an update after the weight-loss surgery she was still unemployed, even though she was checking out going to a nursing school in her previous episode. They never said why she didn't enroll in school. She was living in her own apartment with a new man and no job. I wonder what happened with all of that? She is still on Facebook, but she never mentions things like this and obviously isn't in jail. I also thought that was rather strange that it started off talking about 'Woodstock' then switched over to the Stonewall riots then Woodstock again. I was wondering why Laverne Cox would be in a Woodstock documentary.
1-Ed seeing all the armed soldiers and tanks upon his airport arrival.
That was a great scene. Then when he's walking through the airport and soldiers are 'escorting' a family away as they're fighting with them. I wish they would have explained why they were being taken away by the military, even the young girl who looked to be about 5 was fighting with them, LOL. I remember how bad this was when I saw it on cable many years ago, and the tagline: "It's not his nose that grows." which was kinda funny.
