That's interesting. I didn't know that. I was only surprised by two things about this. 1. That there are still drive-in movie theatres and 2. They show Disney films. Back in the early '80s our local drive-in only showed badly dubbed, cheesy porno films - with provocative titles like 'Graveyard Tramps', 'Swinging Singles' and that disturbing foreign film 'Andrea' - and horror movies. Something that I was curious about was how were so many of them getting disability benefits for being a drug addict or alcoholic. I didn't think you could get a check for that. Maybe it's different in California, but I know the state that I live in you can't get benefits for being an addict. You have to convince them that you're mental instead. I didn't see this movie but I think I can answer #4. Back in the '70s when I was in high school you didn't even need ID to apply for jobs, so I'm sure it was like this years before also. Now they require two forms of ID to fill out a job application and usually a background check and drug test. Well they were in Hollywood after all. I went there years ago and I was terrified to walk down the street. The trending thing on here is kind of cool. It's a wonder no one thought of that before. A lot of the movies and shows that come up I've never heard before and click on to see what people are saying. She (Eve Plumb/Jan Brady) can't find work in Hollywood and becomes a prostitute and her boyfriend is a male prostitute. I watched the first part last night. It seems a lot like 'Milk." Hmm... I wonder why? I guess because so many people behind the scenes were also involved with that movie. Oh gawd YES I had wondered what became of her when Big Edie died. On Wikipedia it was said she moved around a lot but didn't say where she was getting the money to do this. She lived in Canada for a while, then California with some family, then moved to Florida twice. Just the moving around would seem to be hugely expensive. Yes, she has been around for a very long time. I remember her in 'Amen' also, and the movie 'Times Square' as Miss Rosie Washington because her name was included in the song, 'Your Daughter is One.' It was her and Marsha Warfield back in the day, but sadly you don't hear of Marsha anymore. She still does stand up, though. I think she left show business for a while because she had a cocaine addiction. R.I.P. For some reason I thought he died a long time ago, but maybe that was his bailiff, Rusty, on the People's Court. That's funny. I don't remember 1975 having a particular smell either, but 1977, now that was totally different. On Wikipedia it was said Little Edie lived in the house for a few years after Big Edie's death, then Montreal, then in Florida, then briefly with relatives in California, then back to Florida where she died. How was she able to afford all of the moving around and renting apartments on $400 or $500 a month? Very strange how all of the threats and posts moved from IMDb to here. Maybe owned by the same company. Oh okay, I see, because I too was wondering this (how were they getting their money). I didn't see this film, but saw when they were interviewed on 60 Minutes (I think it was). I was thinking about it today because Grey Gardens has gone up for sale. Lilly, maybe. Yeah, I mostly use themoviedb site. I only watched the first 20 minutes of Michaels episode and it was boring so I turned it to the ABC shows.
