Thanks for the link towards a more popular place. Was curious to see what people think of this show. That always confused me. I know nothing of the human body but wouldn't it be easier to test for increased stamina and strength rather than to ask them about turtles? I mean the muscles must exist, they can't just magically be stronger than humans but still have the same build, right? Maybe it's a stupid question i guess. Your comment should have been its own post. That's my issue with the whole replicant thing as well. They are called "skin jobs" but that would work for something like Alien androids or Terminators, literal skin on metal shit, so they are "fake" on the inside. Here, they are all just...people with a weird start and some barcodes in their bones. What's the point in designing something for work if you're gonna give it all the disadvantages of a human body anyway? The entire time i'm watching this movie, i just see ryan gosling being a weirdo that stares at things, not some android. Can confirm, it's insanely similar to Nancy. Good catch! I doubt many will agree with you but i do. I enjoy the nostalgia factor of this but then there are very...kid orientated elements to this show that i couldn't get into. The very end of season two with the ball thing for example, i was cringing like crazy. Felt really awkward seeing kids kiss. I'm not a kid anymore, nor are the vast majority of viewers of stranger things i would assume, so why pander to kids? Having girl problems in middle school is not something we can relate to anymore. I enjoyed the non kids stuff but it's still a shame i had to endure them fighting over max. I understand the need for kids in the show but not the need to see kid problems and issues. "but remember they will always wanna fuck you" Well i dunno about wanting to fuck but won't boys that age naturally be attracted to...attractive girls around them? Isn't that normal? But yeah, i was too a bit confused when she was bullied and was one of the "losers" when in a normal school she'd be with the popular kids by just how pretty she was. Just watched this movie now(in 2017) and i thought he was human when i watched the scene but i wasn't sure. It didn't make sense for him to hell them the trick with the emotions or to drive them away from the pod dudes otherwise. And don't real people melt too if there are pods nearby or something? I assumed some pods nearby took his body's energy or whatever. Tt would be such a wasted opportunity if he was indeed just a pod person. I have to say, i lost patience for chuck's weirdness after the first season. I mean how many times can we see him being afraid of a lightbulb or something? They focused so much on his disease that i felt took away time from actual dialogue related to jimmy or other characters. Hope he's finally gone in season 4. I have to agree and i'm glad i wasn't alone feeling this way. It felt like just another episode.
