You can either clearly see a well written, good character or you can't. You can see when there is some quota being filled, an ideology being pressed or you can't.
Most people can clearly see the difference between Ripley in the Alien movies. Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs, Tess McGill in Working Girl, Dottie in A League of Their Own verses the crap a lot of the current films push. Those examples I gave were real great characters and well written and not forced.
If someone looks at these great characters and then the female protagonists Disney and other films are pushing and they all seem the same to you then there is no reason to discuss it anymore. Things have gone over your head.

I thought the robbery at the beginning was great. Tense, mysterious as you couldn't see the guy. Him blending in with the fishing party and we, the audience not knowing which person was the bad guy was very intriguing.
