Revenge, or a flex?

I haven't seen the movie... I've watched the trailer... Not impressed... I'm not a fan of revenge type movies...

Movies like Django Unchained, Inglorious Bastreds and such... I find it like losers trying to rewrite history just to assert themselves today rather than to examine it from an interesting angle... (actually in Inglorious it's more of a flex)

Revenge or a Flex?
This movie, or rather the trailer, feels more like a flex... The matriarchy asserting it's dominance over America... Does that come across in the movie?

I don't know if I'll watch it... If cinemas were open, I might have been to see it as I'm sure some of my friends are interested...

Does it really matter if it's a revenge or a flex film? You have made yourself clear that you don't like it both.

I wonder about it, because I haven't seen the movie...

Django, Kill Bill and such are revenge movies. Kill Bill is ok, even though it's a bit long. Inglorious Bastreds was a flex more than a revenge movie, because, ultimately liberalism won the war, so while the film portrays an alternate history, the winners and losers haven't changed...

This is besides the point of whether the movie is well made, entertaining, emotive or thought provoking...

I don't think it's a flex movie. Many people did have problems with how they perceive the movie as too "woke." But they're reaching.

The movie is a revenge story, but there is no payoff for the protagonist. The movie observes how the main character deals with trauma, how it affects her, and how far she's willing to go to get her revenge. There is no satisfaction at the end of the movie.

Personally, I like the movie and suggest you watch it.

Flexin' in the urban sense of the word. To show off dominance... It's a Hollywood movie that displays the dominance of women over men in contemporary American culture. Kind of like their MeToo purge a couple of years ago.

A hypothetical example, would be, if this movie isn't good (I haven't seen it) and it wins the Oscar (the awards Hollywood gives itself) over much better movies, it'll be the ultimate flex.

Lol. I Googled it and there's zip, nada, not one iota about flex to describe films. Just a word some douche made up to be different for the sake of being different.
