Why wasn't she eating? Or was she? Spoilers please.

Her mother was feeding her by slipping her food whilst kissing her

I stopped watching before it was explained because I didn't find it that interesting, but I was still curious about what was going on. Thanks!

as Deathby snusnu said, and then when the started the watch the mother couldn't feed her and that is when she got sick

What I don't understand: Why didn't the mother resume "kissing" her once the nurse encouraged her to do so.

ultimately she wanted the daughter to die as she had an incestuous relationship with her brother. To them the brother was in hell and she needed to sacrifice herself to release his soul, and if she was chosen she would go to heaven as well
