Now Sharon Carter isn't a villain either

Is Sharon Carter a Villain? 'Falcon and Winter Soldier' Star Emily VanCamp on Her Character's

Are we calling her a full-blown baddie now?

Government, bad. Heroes who break laws, not bad. Unless you are Tony Stark. He's the only one who can be wrong. Cap? Oh, he's ever wrong. Wanda? Well she was grieving, so it's ok. The guy trying to take her down? Oh, he's evil. Can't have that. Bucky? Not his fault; even when he CHOSE TO break Zemo out. Sam "Stop calling them terrorists" Wilson? He's the definitive American. And that TERRORIST he carried like some innocent bystander caught in a drive by shooting? She is just a victim of the system that failed her.

Why are liberals like this? Everything about this show's rationale and morality defies all that is logical.Besides the fact that Marvel has completely and totally played the "government is bad" card waaaaaay too much - this is one thing DC actually handles better - they are WRONG. If you're going to use that tired ass cliche, you have to at least make sure are right, LOL! This isn't The Winter Soldier where parts of the government were actually being run by bad guys. This show is such a failure. It's arguments and beliefs are wrong on a most basic level.

Well, there's good odds that Sharon Carter is going to turn out to be a double agent. So there's that.

My guess is that she’s a Skrull.

My guess is that before they brought her out in public and made a big show of giving her her job back, they pumped her for all the information she had on the underworld and asked her to agree to be a double agent.

They need some kind of plot for season 2, right?

I really hope she's not a skrull though I agree it's near certain that she is.

Reason is I think it's way more interesting to see a traditionally good character turn anti-hero and have the MCU deal with those consequences.

Sharon really did get the shaft for doing the right thing. And she's not really an EEEEvil villain so much as an amoral, opportunistic one.

I like to think Sharon's current selfishness is part of the fallout from all the Avengers' actions, including Civil War, snap and the blip.

But yeah, she's almost certainly a skrull. The real Sharon was likely recruited by Fury and has been off-planet for years.
