Alternate theory on the ending

So it has been suggested that the apparent change in the TVA is in fact the result of something Renslayer did, and not the result of Sylvie killing Kang. It was never shown what she was up to in when she went through the time door.
It is also possible that Mobius and B-15's memories have just been wiped, which we know has already happened once. Doesn't really explain the Kang statue replacing the timekeepers though.
I actually prefer this version, as it keeps the TVA timeline intact.

Either Season 2 will explain this or Ant Man 3 will because Kang is in it.

reply

Kang is in Antman 3. I haven't heard anything about him being in Doctor Strange 2.

Did we know he was going to be in Loki until he showed up? I don't follow the MCU too closely, but last Friday, when we speculated how Loki would end, my friend who reads all the spoilers ahead of time, and knows comics back and forth, was worried that it would be revealed that a Loki variant was behind it all, which leads me to believe Kang in Loki was a surprise.

Also, it's hard to imagine we've been introduced to Kang and the Multiverse just now, but Kang will be absent from a film with Multiverse in the title. Just guesswork on my part here, but I suppose he's going to have to show up in the new Spider-Man film, if only in a post-credits scene, and play an integral role in the Dr. Strange film.

Well Kang is not going to be in Spiderman 3(I assume), there is already way too much going on in that movie. Seems like the same thing for Doctor Strange. I don't think Kang can be in every movie, that would get boring. I think the Doctor Strange movie will be more focussed on introducing the supernatural elements to the MCU. I'm more expecting Blade to turn up in it.
I don't think it would make much sense for Loki and Kang to turn up in those movies and then season 2 picks up from where? Season 2 will pick up where this one left off I think. Antman 3 doesn't come out until 2023, so Loki season 2 will happen before that. There are a lot of movies coming out, so I think the Multiverse is going to be a slow burn.

He might make small cameos, like Thanos. I kind of hope they don't. I don't want a carbon copy next phase.

You're correct I had to edit what I said.

Nope, the original Loki series TVA timeline is dust, just as Kang helpfully explained. Loki was transported to a timeline where a more evil Kang set himself up as the head of the TVA, and Mobius doesn't know him. There may be even more evil versions of Kang who don't use a TVA at all.

reply

TVA is outside the timeline. We already know this.
