The book is more woke than the movie. In the book Linnet is transgender.

Because the left knows the recent agenda is bullshit, so they're acting like it's been this way all along. It's a way of insinuating that society has regressed if they have a problem with it. It's disingenuous as hell, and they know it. That's why you'll nevet get a reply from them.
