It Looks Like no "Maiar" Will Be Featured Here, At Least In This Season

I know it is early to judge "The Rings of Power" since it has not premiered yet, but I decided to share my thoughts since some commentators still arguing about Gandalf, Sauron, and similar characters.
As we know the wizards (or the Istari) first came to Middle-earth after 1000 years after the beginning of the Third Age so obviously, they will not be presented in this series.
Unless the producers decide to create their own version of the tale, it will be a different matter.

As for Sauron, last time I checked in the list of cast, I did not find any character with the name Sauron (or Annatar), I only found a character (played by Joseph Mawle), who rumored as "Adar", will be the main antagonist, believed to be a corrupted Elf under Sauron's sway, or an alias for Sauron himself.
My conclusion is based on the current information, Sauron may be included in this season, or in the following season, or in the latter seasons, or in the spinoff (if there is any), or may not be included at all.

I’m sure Sauron will be in it, he will probably just be an end of season reveal as someone who we thought was someone else. Sauron will deceive many in the Second Age of Middle Earth, he won’t be that fully black armored mace wielding dark lord we see at the Battle of the Last Alliance until much later in the series run.

Yes if I recall correctly, after the fall of Numenor, Sauron was no longer able to take on any sort of fair form and became the bad ass looking Dark Lord in the movies.

Indeed! I’m actually looking forward to seeing if he has the One Ring with him while he is in Numenor, deceiving Ar-Pharazon & company to worship Melkor and building a Great Armament against the Valar.
