There was a Mars series just last year wasn't it ... kind of interesting but just fizzled. Mars is still too far and too much money away for now.

I notice its now showing on channel 4 have it on my q box but yet to view.

Yep. They just dropped the 1st series on channel 4 (UK) and I think it's great. A slow build intelligent series with an excellent cast but I do worry it has the appeal to guarantee a 2nd series.

Just up to ep 3. Not too bad. Better than the season 2 PC fest called Mars.

Imdb rating 6.7, lots of 1* reviews like "Forget Sci-Fi, this is just Soap".
Then I checked the episode list, they don't even get to Mars!

There will be no second season for Beau Willimon’s Hulu series The First, starring Sean Penn. Hulu has opted not to renew the drama, which was picked up straight-to-series by the streaming network, Deadline has confirmed.

Thank goodness. The most boring sci-fi program I've ever seen. Have skipped to the last ep to see if it improved. It didn't.

well not bothered by this being cancelled its just really playing in the back ground for me lost interest its on ep5.
