It miniseries producers sue over the It movie franchise

Frank Konigsberg and Larry Sanitsky allege that as executive producers of the 1990 ABC It miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's book, they are "entitled to first negotiation/first refusal rights on any sequel, series, remake or spinoff of It and were entitled to a minimum share of 10% of net profits on any such subsequent production."

reply

If that's true, then i hope they get their 10%.

reply

How can a dead man spend money?

reply

If that's truly the case, let em have it.

reply

Man, they should be forced to pay 10% of the net profits out of their own pockets as an apology for how badly they ruined the book/ a thank you to the new team for making something so rad.

reply

I just checked these two men: Konigsberg died in 2016, so whether this is a joke is beyond me. It's far too late to stop the new movies now.

reply

They should hold his next of kin liable.

reply

I call BULLSHIT on this! I mean, why are they coming forward NOW, and not TWO YEARS ago???

reply

It wasn’t a miniseries it was a two part TV movie.
