Question: What if Sharon Tate never got killed, but everybody else did?

Would the Manson murders still have been such a huge news and cultural event?

I know killing Sharon Tate w/unborn child is such an unfathomable murder it's impossible to comprehend.

reply

Yes.

Yes, because her friends were either really famous or major players in Hollywood. Sebring was a famous hairdresser to the stars and appeared on television a couple of times, and Abigail Folger was an heiress. Sebring was a well known enough public figure that there was even a movie based on him (called "Shampoo").

Not quite as big.

Let's be real, Sharon Tate was one of the most beautiful women anyone has ever seen and her image as the victim of this horrific crime made the case what it is today.

AGREE...IT WOULD STILL BE A DEAL,MAYBE NOT THE GENERATIONAL CULTURE CHANGING DEAL IT IS.

What is really great about time is that most things fade and are eventually forgotten.

Judge Crater? Maybe .5% of Americans today know who he was. A few generations ago it was about 99%

The same thing is happening to Charles Manson. At least half of Gen Z has never heard of him...time is on the side of people like me who relish the day where Manson is swept up in the dust bin of history.

And the dust bin of history is exactly where that insane, murderous bastard belongs!
