Probably.

I like to think he did. He’s heavily wounded, he isn’t going to a hospital, and there is sad music playing. Plus - there isn’t much for him to do alive. His wife is gone, his home and belongings were scorched by the gangsters, and he doesn’t have the Mexican lady’s money to rely on. Even his dog is dead. I guess there is the border patrol chick for him in Texas, but nothing else.
