First episode was meh..the second episode was much stronger !

Maybe it's just me but the first episode was like looking at the actors getting some rust out of them. Roseanne in particular. The only actor who got back into the role flawlessly was Laurie Metcalf (No surprise there) . By the later half of the episode they started to get their rhythm back. The second episode really started to feel familiar, they were not completely there but it was already a major improvement.

I agree. Dan was pretty good as well in the first. His timing wasn't 100% there but it was close. Roseanne seemed more conscious of the audience reactions.

Dan losing it over the surrogacy was the moment when I felt he was really shining through in the 1st episode.

Darlene didn't have her timing down at all. She really needs to get her groove back.

I felt the same way. The delivery of the lines in ep1 seemed forced and unnatural. Of course, the main idea was to catch us up on the old characters and introduce us to the new ones. Episode 2 was indeed better, and I hope they get the old magic back.

I agree. The first episode was not that strong, but the second one seemed more like the old show. I laughed quite a bit during the second episode. The best thing about the first episode was Jackie's outfit. What the heck was that? lol

Metcalf sounds like she spent the last 20 years drinking....
