Did Anyone Else Watch This Show?

and what are your thoughts?

Watched it over the past weekend and enjoyed it a lot.

Good acting, interesting story, intriguing mystery...overall, very much worth my time.

My only complaint is that, in my opinion, it ends rather abruptly without a lot of explanation as to what the 'others' are. This is obviously intended by the writers with that intent of "many things in life are never fully explained" and I get it...but I just don't care for it in stories.

Still, I thought it was very much worth my time and I'm glad I watched it.

SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS!!!!!

I enjoyed it too and am glad I watched it but was disappointed with the ending. You're right, it didn't explain as much as it could have and for a minute I didn't know if it was even a good or bad ending, it was so questionable. I'm going with that it was a bad ending, that she was able to endear herself to her real mom Rose and Rose's son as a cover, but then when she was in the bathroom the "angel" or whatever it was took over and she wouldn't pick up the call from Trudy. So it looked like the spirit or angel or ghost was not a benevolent one, it was evil.

Just finished watching it. Had the same gripes. Poor ending for a decent show. Didn't understand what we were to make of Hal. Wanted more explanation of the angels. Wanted to know how she was going to live her life from now on.

Yeah. I think the writers were unsure whether there would be another season so they left it that things could go either way, depending on how the audience perceives it. I don't like that but what can we do. . . . .

^^This. I also was left with questions about Hal. Also, why did the demon kill Sylvia and his other followers? That made no sense to me.

Yea, have to agree with the consensus here. Very good first five episodes but that last one and ending was really disappointing. I too assume she had the bad angel inside her who, now that it was out, didn't need Sylvia, et. al. so they were killed. Still some real resolution would've made this series pop. I'm also getting tired of producers/writers, et. al. holding out for a second season. Does everything NEED a second season?

reply

Ditto - what everyone else said. I assume the dark eyes means that Carys is now evil but it was a dumb ending which was obviously pandering to the 'give us a second season' executives. I wish the writers would've been more creative.

I saw this show. It was intriguing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However the ending seemed rushed through, and it seemed like the scriptwriters couldn't come up with a good way to end this story. Unless they were trying to leave room for another episode.
