JOHN CONNER SHOULD HAVE GROWN UP (a little)

Since three years had passed between the ending of Terminator 2 (taking place in 1995) and the start of Terminator: Dark Fate (taking place in 1998), John Conner should have been made to look older (kids can grow a lot in three years). I’m surprised everyone forgot that.

Why would that matter when the plot of the film is not set in 1991? I actually think it is set in 1995 from what I remember.

Maybe they could have worked the plot so that John Connor grew up and had a kid and then the Terminator shows up and kills him. Then Sarah could spend the rest of the movie protecting the new leader of the future resistance, John Connor Junior.
