Sept 20 release date

I hope it lives up to the hype. I always thought it should have continued on to at least 1939. I am very glad to see Staunton added. She always holds my interest.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully in the confines of a movie there won't be ridiculous soap opera plotlines.

I will wait till it hits the home market. I refuse to pay ticket prices.

I almost never go to a theater anymore, but I am such a DA fan I will make an exception, unless it is universally panned, which obviously I hope is not the case.

I watched the show every week, but for some reason I have no interest whatsoever in this movie. I think I'm all done with Downton when the series finale came and went. I feel like "enough already" now. I don't care what the characters would go on to do, not now, it's been so long since the end of the show. Just find myself not giving a rat's ass even though I watched the show every week. Moved on.

She finallymade it to the big screen! I am so proud of her.

Imelda? Or somebody else?

Having been a fan of Imelda for almost decades, it was nice to see her play a part in such another popular franchise.

But this is not making it to the big screen, alas. She earned an Academy Award best actress nomination for that stunning performance in a very moving film "Vera Drake." And has been in a lot of big films, which is great.

She also was outstanding in the recent version of "Gypsy" as the stage mother. It was filmed as part of the live theater's film program and might be available online somewhere to show her live performance. She's just amazing.
