Stephen King = Idiot

Why do people watch this shit? It's like The Avengers of horror. Spoon fed bs with cheap unoriginal scares. So dumb.

Seemed like a decent book to me and this was a great adaptation. The decision to make it a sequel to the Kubrick film was totally right. It's not like this is trying to be on the same level, but Kubrick's film is very much in our collective memories and it is in no way weakened by this movie.
I saw what is apparently the director's cut and it did not feel like it was three hours. It didn't feel overly rushed either. Of course if you hate the book it is not for you.

Is your real name Larry Tate?

I disagree. He has a vivid imagination and a lot of literary talent. It's hard to be consistantly awesome with every story/book. He's no exception, but he has a great sense of character and human nature. I don't care for his public political flatulence, but he certainly isn't an idiot.
One of the reasons he loses his plot with stories is because he doesn't plot them out. According to interviews, he tends to start with a notion of a character and follows from there.
