Scorsese going woke?

Feeling he has to make a “whites are bad” movie to stay relevant?

Yeah, and Spielberg went woke when he made Schindler's List 30 years ago, you dumbfuck.

I liked it . Never really felt the length. It's quite tense for most of the runtime, and held my interest.

I should mention the score, which is very good, and at times has a very minimalist quality with just a pulsating, repeated bass line ( similar to the score for Carpenters The Thing) that propels the movie along, especially during the more tense scenes.

Di Caprio is excellent, and it's good to see De Niro with a substantial role to get his teeth into. And Lily Gladstone is a revelation. Jesse Plemons is great as the main FBI investigator, and there are smaller roles for John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser as defence and prosecutor respectively.

It's not going to be everyone's cuppa, some will balk at the length, and for the first 45 mins takes its time to set things up. But it gets much darker and convoluted as it progresses.
